About James McLauchlan Celebrant
James McLauchlan is a civil marriage celebrant working across Brisbane's northside and southside. Before becoming a celebrant he worked in carpentry and teaching, and he credits both with giving him an easy way of connecting with people from every walk of life. His approach starts with getting to know the couple. Each wedding includes two face-to-face meetings and plenty of contact in between, so the ceremony can reflect your personalities and the small stories that matter to you. He writes in a tone that is sincere but light-hearted, and is happy to work with traditional or less conventional wedding styles. As a male celebrant, James finds he can help put the groom at ease, and he uses his public speaking experience to keep nerves in check on both sides of the bridal party. On the day he brings two portable wireless PA systems and runs the music for the ceremony himself, so there is one less job for a friend or family member. His personalised ceremony includes both meetings, a short rehearsal at the second meeting, unlimited email and lodgement of all the legal paperwork. A full rehearsal at the venue can be added.
