About Jamie + Cara Brisbane City Celebrants
Jamie + Cara Brisbane City Celebrants is a husband-and-wife team who took up celebrancy after their own wedding. Both are full-time celebrants, so ceremonies can be held any day of the week, and couples simply choose which of the two they would like. Their style is modern and celebratory: ceremonies that feel upbeat, flow smoothly and do not drag on. Planning is designed to be easy. After a meeting in person at their Indooroopilly elopement deck or by video call, an online form fills in your marriage forms, including the notice of intended marriage. You see and approve the full ceremony wording well before the day, and a rehearsal video talks you through how everything will run. On the day they dress to match your dress code, black tie included. For couples who want to marry without a big ceremony, they run legals-only marriages of five to ten minutes with two witnesses, at suggested spots such as the Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mount Coot-tha, New Farm Park or their private deck. Same-sex couples are warmly welcomed, and they can also co-host a ceremony led by a friend, handling the legal wording and sound. Cara is a qualified designer, and their ceremony décor range covers arbours, aisle pillars, white Americana chairs, a water station and rose petal cones, with delivery, set-up and pack-down included. How soon can we get married with Jamie + Cara?
The notice of intended marriage must be lodged at least one calendar month before the wedding, so you can marry from one month after your first meeting. They meet most days, including weekday evenings.
What is included in a legals-only marriage?
All the legal paperwork, a very short ceremony with the required wording and optional personal vows and rings, a signing table if needed, and guidance on the registry certificate and changing your name.
Where can a legals-only wedding take place?
Anywhere you like. Suggested spots include the Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mount Coot-tha, New Farm Park and their private elopement deck in Indooroopilly; other locations may attract an extra fee.
Can a friend lead our ceremony with Jamie + Cara involved?
Yes. They can co-host, with your friend delivering most of the ceremony while they handle the legal wording, PA system and coordination, or they can complete the legals separately before or after.
Do Jamie + Cara supply ceremony styling?
Yes. Their décor range includes circular and two-post arbours, aisle pillars, white Americana chairs, a water station and rose petal cones, with delivery, set-up and pack-down included.
