About Brisbane Party Cruises
Brisbane Party Cruises runs the MV Island Princess, a function boat berthed at Murarrie and built for parties on the Brisbane River. A private charter gives your group the whole vessel for up to 70 guests, with the skipper, deckhands and bar staff included. The main deck holds the saloon and bar, a dance floor with coloured laser lights and a smoking area. Upstairs, reached by a railed ladder, is a covered lounge and an open sundeck for about 30 people. Surround sound, a PA and microphone and big screen TVs are on board, and you can play your own playlist or book a live DJ. The bar is fully licensed, so drinks are bought on board on a tab or as you go, and BYO drinks are not allowed. Catering is charged per head, from bar snacks to hot finger food platters or a buffet BBQ with steak, sausages and salads. BYO food is possible by arrangement. Cruises usually run for three hours over lunch, the afternoon or the evening. The team names birthdays, family reunions, corporate events, hens and bucks nights and wedding receptions among the events it hosts, and it also runs charters on Riverfire and New Year's Eve.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can Brisbane Party Cruises take?
The MV Island Princess carries up to 70 guests on the Brisbane River, plus crew. Final numbers can be confirmed closer to the date, and the crew is sized to your group.
Can we bring our own drinks or food?
BYO drinks are not allowed because the boat is a licensed venue with a full bar. BYO food is possible, though conditions apply and it needs to be discussed when you book.
What is included in a Brisbane Party Cruises charter?
A charter includes private use of the boat, pick-up and return from your chosen wharf, the skipper, bar staff and deckhands, and use of the sound system, playlists, PA, microphone and dance floor lighting. Catering is added per head.
Where does the boat pick up guests?
The free options are the Northshore Hamilton public pontoon and the Murarrie Recreation Hub wharf. City wharves such as the City Botanic Gardens, New Farm Park, Howard Smith Wharves and Mowbray Park can be booked for a service charge.
Is the MV Island Princess wheelchair friendly?
The side gates take a wheelchair up to 800mm wide and the main deck is level and roomy, but the upper deck is reached by ladder and the toilets are not wheelchair accessible, so a carer may be needed.
