Christmas Party Venues in Hastings

What to Know Before Booking Christmas Party Venues

Smart Brothers Brewing makes its beer in small batches on Bray Street in Hastings, and its taproom suits a relaxed end-of-year function. Brothers Ben and Matt pour 14 of their own beers, with wood-fired pizzas and flame-grilled burgers from the kitchen.

How a work Christmas party fits into the Hastings brewery:

Teams of 50 to 60: the dining room is cordoned off for the group while the taproom stays open around it.
A whole-company do: hire the entire brewery for 60 to 100 guests and the bar, staff and outdoor beer garden are yours.
Budget: a dining-area function runs on a $2,000 minimum spend that comes back in full as a food and drinks tab.
Four hours: the dining-area booking covers a four-hour stretch, long enough for lunch to run into the afternoon.
Easy ordering: guests wear wristbands and order at the main bar, and staff bring the food out to the group.

Whole-venue costs are quoted on enquiry, so ask about both options if the head count is still moving.

A wall-mounted TV in the function space takes an HDMI device for a photo or video slideshow.
Connect a phone to the sound system to run the office playlist.
Christmas decorations are welcome, as long as you pack them up and take them home afterwards.
The outdoor beer garden comes with whole-venue hire, handy for an early summer function.
