About Treehouse Byron Bay

Treehouse Byron Bay is a casual restaurant and bar on Childe Street, close to Belongil Beach. It opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the menu leans Mediterranean, with wood-fired pizzas, cocktails and local beers. The setting is mostly outdoors, with timber decks, long benches and garden tables under the palms. It suits a relaxed get-together more than a formal sit-down affair. The venue sorts bookings by size. Parties of 2 to 14 can take the bottomless package, 12 to 24 guests book as group dining, and groups of 25 or more move onto the function package. The function package is served share-style: three wood-fired pizzas of your choice plus sides and salads, priced at $49 per person. Extra platters can be added, from arancini and bruschetta to beef tartare spoons and chicken skewers, and those are arranged and settled a fortnight before the event. The venue names birthdays, wedding weekends and work events among the functions it hosts. Minimum spends and booking terms apply to functions and are confirmed on enquiry. Send an enquiry with your preferred date, time and guest numbers and the team will come back with options. Dietary needs should be shared when booking, and vegan and gluten-free pizza bases are available.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Treehouse function package include?

The package is $49 per person and is served to share. It includes three wood-fired pizzas chosen from the menu, along with sides and salads such as rocket and parmesan salad and shoestring fries.

How many guests do we need for a function booking?

Function packages are for groups of 25 or more. Groups of 12 to 24 book as group dining, and parties of 2 to 14 can choose the bottomless package instead.

Can we add extra food to the function menu?

Yes. Platters of 20 pieces can be added, including arancini, tomato and stracciatella bruschetta, ceviche spoons and chicken skewers, from $30 to $60 per platter. Order and pay for them a fortnight or more ahead; they are only available with the function package.

Is there a minimum spend for functions?

The venue says minimum spends and booking terms apply to functions but doesn't publish the figures. Send an enquiry with your date and numbers to get them.

Can Treehouse cater for dietary requirements?

Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are marked on the menu, and vegan cheese or a gluten-free base can be swapped onto pizzas for a small extra charge. The kitchen handles nuts, shellfish and gluten, so dishes can't be guaranteed allergen free, and dietaries should be given at the time of booking.

Beautiful atmosphere - and we'd arrived post music, almost at closing time! We had some delicious dessert. Lemon meringue tart was delicious but probably too much for one person! We'll be back to catch the live music!

We had a lovely dinner at the Treehouse. I had the market fish, but the stars of the dish were definitely the vegetables and the beurre blanc. My husband and friend each had pizzas, which they fully enjoyed. The ambia…
