About The Orchard Estate
The Orchard Estate is a 100-acre working farm on Bangalow Road in Clunes, in the Byron hinterland. The owners grow macadamias and run a small herd of Angus steers, and the property sits on a quiet hilltop with views across the valley. The centrepiece is a restaurant barn built for the estate's own paddock-to-plate dining. It looks out over a 180-degree view of the Nightcap Range, and the sunsets over the valley are a big part of an evening event. The barn covers about 200 square metres, with high ceilings, white walls and two large doors that open wide. A second, smaller barn of about 60 square metres is set aside for micro weddings, elopements and intimate private events. Guests can eat inside or out around the herb and olive garden. Wedding ceremonies are held on the lawn facing the mountains, in quiet corners of the macadamia orchard, or inside the barn when the weather turns. Canapés are served during a sunset cocktail hour, and receptions can be held outdoors under the stars or inside the barn for up to 100 guests. Catering is done in house from the attached commercial kitchen, and drinks are BYO. The estate also hosts private and corporate functions such as meetings, retreats and parties, as well as pop-up lunches and dinners. A wedding planner is required, and buses must be arranged for guests. The farmhouse on site sleeps six. Send an enquiry to arrange a viewing.
