About Coorabell Estate
Coorabell Estate is a private country property on Keys Road in Coorabell, in the Byron hinterland. Its 30 acres take in rolling lawns, a band of rainforest and wide views, and the whole estate is given over to one wedding at a time. Ceremonies can be held at several spots around the grounds, with sunset drinks on the lawns afterwards. Receptions move to a grassed area levelled for a marquee, a tipi or an open-air setting, and the elevated main lawn measures 24 by 10 metres. Smaller weddings can use the house itself. The Sunset Verandah seats up to 40 at a long table, and the Classic package suits 40 seated or 60 standing, with the house open for dining and dancing. Larger receptions of up to 150 guests use the full grounds. The estate is a venue-only hire, so couples bring in their own caterers, bar staff and stylists. A curated list of local suppliers is provided, all alcohol must be served by staff holding a NSW RSA, and events over 50 guests need an approved wedding planner. Music suits DJs and small live acts of up to three players, with drums kept light. Indoor music is kept low from 8.30pm and switched off by 10.30pm, and guests depart by 11pm. The five-bedroom house sleeps 10 and comes with a heated pool, a Sunset Deck and roomy shared living spaces, so the wedding party can stay on site. Venue management is included on the day with every package.
