About Crystalbrook Byron

Crystalbrook Byron is a resort on Broken Head Road in Byron Bay, spread over 45 acres of subtropical rainforest and a short stroll from Tallow Beach. It has 92 suites, the Forest restaurant, a heated infinity pool and a day spa, and its events team runs weddings, conferences, retreats and private gatherings on site. The main indoor space is a conference room that splits into three rooms named Tallow Creek, Wild Orchid and Scribbly Gum. Each holds up to 80 people, and opened up together they take up to 192 in theatre, classroom, cabaret, boardroom or U-shaped layouts. Floor-to-ceiling glass and bi-fold doors bring in daylight and open straight onto the verandah. Outside, the Rainforest Verandah is a 6-metre-wide deck that runs around the conference room and suits dinners and cocktail parties for around 60. The Rainforest Lawn holds the most people, taking up to 160 seated or 300 for a standing event, and an alfresco dining area seats about 100 for breakfast, lunch or dinner functions. For weddings, couples can say their vows on the lawn or verandah, move to the verandah for drinks and then dance in Tallow Creek, which can be halved for smaller receptions. Packages cover the ceremony set-up with a signing table and pop-up bar, a full banquet set, a cake table, a menu tasting a month ahead and a Treetops Luxe Suite for the couple with breakfast and late check-out. Corporate groups get built-in audio-visual gear, a wall-mounted projector, individual heating and cooling and on-site parking with EV chargers. Menus are shaped around local produce, and extras on offer include coffee carts, champagne and oyster bars, private yoga, forest bathing, fire twirlers and a Welcome to Country.

We booked a more premium room and it was 100% worth the money. Two critiques - the bed covers! The two sheet thing instead of a duvet cover needs to go, it's disgusting. The other critique is the shower, that wAs extreme…
