About The Lighthouse Restaurant

The Lighthouse Restaurant sits at the tip of Cleveland Point on the Redlands Coast, looking straight out across Moreton Bay towards the islands. Alongside its seafood restaurant, café and fish and chip kiosk, it has an events coordinator who plans weddings, birthdays and private parties on site. Several areas can be booked for functions. Waters Edge has the most room: an undercover outdoor space right on the water that seats up to 140 or holds 200 for cocktails, with room for a dance floor and entertainment. The elevated, semi-private Deck suits up to 50 standing, while the Café and Bar Balcony work for smaller cocktail parties with their own bar service. Every space looks over the bay, so the water does most of the decorating. Hosts are welcome to add their own touches, such as table decorations, balloons or a cake for a smaller celebration. Seated functions centre on shared banquet menus served to the middle of the table, from $75 per person up to a fuller spread at $125. Cocktail events use canapé and petite-dish packages from $63 per person, and dessert, a grazing table or a fruit platter can be added. Drinks can run as a capped bar tab, an open bar settled at the end of the night, or a cash bar where guests pay their own way. Hosts choose their wines, beers, cocktails and spirits from the house list, with soft drinks included. Function hire runs for five hours, with a hire fee plus a minimum spend that varies by space. Each space carries a hire fee and a minimum spend on food and drinks. The Deck has a $500 hire fee and a $3,500 minimum spend, while Waters Edge has a $2,000 hire fee and a $10,000 minimum spend.

Banquet menus run from $75 to $125 per person and cocktail packages from $63 to $83 per person, with dessert an extra $21 per person. A grazing table is $650 and a fruit platter is $209.

Food

Banquet menus are shared family-style and include dishes such as flash-fried calamari, whole baked market fish, sirloin with potatoes, sand crab lasagne and Greek salad, with a Mediterranean option built around slow-roasted lamb shoulder. Cocktail packages offer five or seven canapés with one or two petite dishes, such as beef sliders, battered flathead and chips, or pulled pork rolls.

Dessert, a grazing table of cheeses and cured meats, and a fruit platter can be added. Children can have a kids meal or join the shared banquet.

Beverages

Three drinks formats are offered: a bar tab capped at an agreed limit, an open bar totalled at the end of the event, or a cash bar where guests buy their own. For the tab or open bar, hosts choose a set of wines, beers, cocktails and spirits, and soft drinks come as standard.

Waters Edge includes a dance floor and space for entertainment, so it is the area to choose for a reception or a big birthday with music.
