About Stradbroke Marquee @ Grand View Hotel
The Stradbroke Marquee is the main function space at the Grand View Hotel, a pub that has stood on North Street in Cleveland since 1851. Built for events and full of daylight, the marquee faces the water of Moreton Bay and gives a private event its own bar, restrooms and built-in AV. It holds 150 for a cocktail party, or 120 at long tables or round banquet tables. Smaller groups can take half, either the bay side with its water views or the venue side near the bar, with up to 60 standing or 45 seated in each. The marquee suits weddings, milestone birthdays, engagements, baby showers and work events. If you want a different feel, the pub also has the heritage Cleveland Room with a fairy-lit frangipani courtyard and a semi-private terrace under its big mango tree. Food packages need 30 guests and cover canapés, grazing and seafood stations, a rotisserie buffet and two or three course shared banquets. Live pasta and paella cooking stations can be added on. Drinks packages run two to four hours in house, premium and prestige tiers, or you can set up a cash bar or a prepaid tab. Weddings can begin with a ceremony at the pub or a nearby waterfront spot, and all-inclusive packages for 40 guests are offered.
