About Sirromet Winery

Sirromet Winery is a family-founded wine estate in Mount Cotton, set on 560 acres of vineyard and bushland in the Redlands. The core group outing is a 90-minute behind-the-scenes tour of the working winery, followed by a six-wine tasting at the Cellar Door. Groups of 10 or more can book the tour or a tasting as a private session. For something more hands-on, the wine blending class runs for 90 minutes with a host sommelier. Guests work through several varieties, build a blend to suit their own palate, then bottle and label it to take home, with a glass of wine and a shared cheese plate along the way. Tours can also be paired with a Cellar Door burger lunch, a two-course set menu or three courses with matched wines at Tuscan Terrace. Sirromet is a function and wedding venue as well. Lurleen's, with its high timber ceilings and views over Moreton Bay, takes up to 300 for a cocktail event or 260 at long tables. The Barrel Hall seats about 100 among the wine barrels, and the open-air Summer House on the lawn suits up to 120 standing. Couples can marry under the arbour in the vines or beside the lagoon, then hold the reception in Lurleen's, the Barrel Hall or Tuscan Terrace. School formals and corporate retreats use the same rooms. The estate takes in corporate groups, team days, Christmas functions and private milestone celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries and graduations. Team packages can add an outdoor 4WD track, winery sporting games and time with the winemaker, and glamping pavilions on site suit groups staying the night. Frequently asked questions

How much is a winery tour and tasting?

The 90-minute tour with a tasting is $35 per person for the standard range or $55 per person for premium wines. A Cellar Door tasting on its own is $15 standard or $20 premium, and both let you choose six wines.

Can our group have a private tour?

Yes. Private tour and tasting bookings, and private Cellar Door tastings, need a minimum of 10 people. Tours can also be arranged in a small number of languages other than English, so mention this in your enquiry.

What happens in the wine blending class?

A host sommelier guides you through a range of varieties for about 90 minutes while you craft a blend to your own taste. You then bottle and label it to take home. It costs $125 per person with a minimum of two guests, and includes a glass of wine and a shared cheese plate.

Can we add lunch to the tour?

Yes. The tour and tasting can be paired with a burger, chips and soft drink at Cellar Door for $68 per person, a two-course set lunch with a glass of wine from $89 per person on weekdays, or a three-course meal with matched wines at Tuscan Terrace for $145 per person.

Can we bring a birthday cake?

Yes, a cake brought from home is fine at both Tuscan Terrace and the Cellar Door café, though a $20 cakeage fee applies across the estate. Pets are not allowed on site, apart from accredited assistance animals.

Can we hold a wedding or function at Sirromet?

Yes. Ceremonies are held at the arbour in the vineyard or beside the lagoon, with receptions in Lurleen's, the Barrel Hall or Tuscan Terrace. Lurleen's holds up to 300 for cocktails, and the team suggests booking 12 to 18 months ahead for popular Saturdays.
