About Nosferatu Distillery
Nosferatu Distillery makes its gins, liqueurs and whiskey on Jeays Street in Bowen Hills, and the same building holds its cellar door, bar and cafe. The distilling equipment sits within sight of the bar, so guests can see where the spirits come from. The main group activity is a seated tasting. Staff bring a paddle to the table and talk through each spirit, from the story behind the name to the flavour and how distillation shapes it. There are several gin paddles plus one built around Negronis, and each tasting earns a discount on a bottle to take home. The Ginner Party flight is the distillery's signature. It matches four gins to the stages of a dinner: Mandrake Cucumber & Mint for the entree, Nosferatu Blood Orange for the main, Giselle Pavlova for dessert and Bunyip Sticky Gin for the cheese course. For bigger numbers, the team runs large group tastings for 15 to 60 guests. The distillery pitches these as an add-on for corporate celebrations and birthdays, and the venue also takes private functions. The wider range includes Dead Dry Gin, Nocturro Fig Gin made with North Stradbroke Island honey, a rye and corn whiskey, a coffee liqueur and bottled Negronis. Send an enquiry with your date and guest numbers to plan a group tasting.

Frequently asked questions
How big a group can do a tasting?
Standard tastings are served at the table, and the distillery runs large group tastings for between 15 and 60 guests. Send an enquiry with your numbers so the team can plan the session.
What does a tasting involve?
It is a seated flight served at your table. Staff explain the story and flavour of each spirit and how it is distilled, with the distilling gear in view of the bar, so it works like a distillery tour without leaving your seat.
Which tasting paddles are there?
There are several paddles covering the gin range, from dry styles to dessert-style gins, plus a Negroni paddle. The Ginner Party flight matches four gins to the courses of a dinner, ending with a sticky gin for cheese.
Can a tasting be part of a birthday or work event?
Yes. The distillery suggests adding a tasting to corporate celebrations and birthdays, and the venue also hosts private functions. Enquire through Party Hero with your date and group size.
Can we buy bottles to take home?
Yes. The cellar door sells the full range, from gins and a rye and corn whiskey to bottled Negronis, and every tasting comes with a discount on a takeaway bottle.
