About Laser Skirmish Mt Cotton
Laser Skirmish Mt Cotton is an outdoor laser tag field set in woodland within Karingal Park. The local team has run games on this site since 2002, and the property covers more than 300 acres of bush. Players carry infrared taggers rather than paint markers, so nobody ends up bruised or splattered. Forts, sheds and natural cover are spread across the field. Staff run the briefing, hand out the gear and pick game modes to suit the ages in your group. A standard booking is three games over two hours, from team deathmatch and capture the flag to Heist and a Battle Royale round. Younger players often start with Bullseye, where both teams aim at a fixed target box. The operators say the games suit kids from eight upwards, and adults pay the same rate when they play. Birthday parties are the main trade, along with sports team break-ups, school groups and work team-building days. Smaller groups can join a public session on the calendar, while larger groups can book a private session with their own staff and a choice of games. Send an enquiry with your date and numbers.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to play?
Prepaid group rates run from $43 each for up to nine players, down to $40 for 10 to 19, $38 for 20 to 29 and $35 each once a group reaches 30. Extra players who arrive on the day pay $50 cash, subject to space.
How many players do we need?
A session needs a minimum number of players to open: 10 on weekends and during Queensland school holiday weekdays, and 20 on other weekdays and public holidays. Smaller groups can be added to an interest list until a session fills.
What age is it suitable for?
The games are pitched at kids aged eight and over, and adults are welcome to play at the same price. Everyone needs a signed insurance waiver, with a parent or guardian signing for anyone under 18.
What should players wear and bring?
Wear long pants that cover the ankles and closed shoes, and bring a water bottle. Camouflage coveralls in sizes XS to 5XL and camo shirts can be hired as add-ons if players want to blend into the bush.
Can we book the field just for our group?
Yes. Private sessions give one group the field with dedicated staff, a choice of game modes and a session length of at least two hours, and they suit groups from under 20 to more than 100 players.
