About GelCity
GelCity is an indoor gel blasting arena on Jackson Road in Sunnybank Hills, on Brisbane's southside. Gel blasting works much like paintball, but players fire soft, water-soaked gel beads that sting far less on impact. Players split into two teams and work through rounds of game modes such as capture the flag, domination and team deathmatch. The field is laid out with inflatable bunkers, timber walls and raised lookouts, and staff run a safety briefing before play starts. Public sessions run Thursday to Sunday and last two to three hours. Rental packs cover an electric or high-pressure-air blaster, a mask and unlimited gels, and players with their own gear can book a cheaper entry-only ticket. For a celebration, the air-conditioned VIP room is set aside for up to 14 guests and looks straight out over the field. A covered outdoor area for up to 40 can be added. The At Ease Cafe serves hot food, shakes and coffee, sells share platters, and BYO food is welcome. Players must be eight or older, and anyone 13 or under needs a guardian on site. Private sessions are arranged on request, so send an enquiry to book.

Booked a private session and it was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST. Lee and Toby were such great games masters and also joined us as we had an odd number of players. It was hot even in the winter morning so lucky we started early.…

This was my first time gel blasting and overall I had a bit of a love-hate experience with Gel City. The biggest issue was the organisation. My group had a booking for 12:30pm, but when we arrived we were told the booki…
