About Paint N' Unwind
Paint N' Unwind is a small paint and sip studio on Edmondstone Street in South Brisbane. A private booking gives your group the room to itself for about two hours, with an artist guiding everyone through the same painting one step at a time. Canvases, paints, brushes and aprons are all supplied, drinks are BYO, and nobody needs to have painted before. The studio hosts hens nights, birthdays, girls' nights, farewells, reunions and baby showers. Children's birthday parties suit ages six and up, with the painting chosen around what the birthday child loves. Parents bring the cake and food, and there is a kitchenette with a fridge. Food for adult groups can be ordered from Bird's Nest Yakitori next door, delivered during the session and added to your quote. Work groups can pick a relaxed two-hour Team Social Session or a Guided Team-Building Experience with light facilitation around a theme. Both work formats suit end-of-year and Christmas parties, and the studio can also run sessions at offices and homes across inner Brisbane. Frequently asked questions
How much does a private session cost?
A private session is $600 for up to eight guests or $750 for up to 12, including GST. Each extra guest beyond 12 is $50, and larger groups can be accommodated. Corporate sessions are quoted separately based on numbers, format and catering.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes, all sessions are BYO and the studio has a wine fridge. The suggestion is about one bottle per guest. Drinks ordered from Bird's Nest next door are sold under the restaurant's own licence and paid for separately.
Do you run kids' birthday parties?
Yes, for children aged six and up. Up to 10 kids can paint for 90 minutes for $450, or for two hours for $550, and each additional child is $40, with 20 the most the studio takes. At least one parent or guardian needs to stay.
Do we need any painting experience?
None at all. An artist guides the group through each stage of the painting, and the team also works with NDIS, aged care and children's groups, so the pace suits complete beginners.
Where do we park?
The building has four shared retail spaces that go on a first-come basis. Metered parking on Edmondstone Street applies on weekdays from 7am to 7pm, so it is free in the evening and on weekends, and South Brisbane station is close by.
