Bucks Party Venues in Brisbane's Inner South

How Bucks Party Venues Actually Work

Two South Brisbane pubs host bucks parties in the Inner South, and they feel very different. Goldie's Tavern centres on big screens and an outdoor garden for the game, and The Rose & Crown runs as a pub in the British mould, local upstairs in a heritage Queenslander.

Weighing up the two Inner South bucks pubs:

Watching a game: Goldie's Tavern has an Annex with its own bar and several large screens, holding 130 standing or 80 seated.
A singalong: up to 16 can squeeze into The Rose & Crown's soundproofed karaoke room, which suits the inner circle of a bucks group.
Bigger numbers: Goldie's Tavern's undercover Sideline area holds up to 200 standing, and The Rose & Crown's whole second floor holds 160 for a cocktail party.
Drinks: Goldie's Tavern sells timed packages in three tiers, while The Rose & Crown pours cask ales and runs bar tabs or pay-as-you-go.
Cost: The Rose & Crown charges no room hire and no minimum spend, with packages from $37 per person.

Pool tables and booths inside Goldie's Tavern give the group something to do between rounds.

All four function areas at Goldie's Tavern are semi-private, so the group keeps its own space while still feeling the pub around it.
The Long Room at The Rose & Crown has direct bar access and holds 60 standing, a handy size for a mid-sized bucks.
Booking the entire upper level at The Rose & Crown gives exclusive use of its bar for the night.
The Garden at Goldie's Tavern holds 100 standing, with easy access back to the indoor bar.

Food and music before the bucks heads out

Goldie's Tavern serves share platters and a seated menu, and its Clubhouse dining room seats around 110.
The Rose & Crown cooks pub classics, and its Rose Terrace has banquettes and high bar tables for 50 seated.
The Rose & Crown is DJ friendly and has a sound system, so the group can bring its own music upstairs.
Goldie's Tavern is wheelchair accessible, which helps if an older relative joins for the early part of the night.
