About Wallflower Floral Design
Wallflower Floral Design is a floral studio and shop in Deagon, close to the bay on Brisbane's northside. Founder Renae started out doing wedding flowers on the side while running a café, sold the leftover stems to customers, and opened a shop when the space next door came up. The business has since grown to a team of seven and moved into a store three times the size of the first. The look is natural and romantic – wild, layered arrangements that follow the season rather than rigid designs. Many of the flowers are grown at Wallflower Farm in Wamuran by Renae's sister and brother-in-law, and are often cut only hours before they arrive at the studio. Weddings are a big part of the work. The gallery shows real Brisbane weddings with bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, ceremony arbours and floral columns, plinth arrangements beside the aisle and full reception tables. Couples start with the wedding enquiry form and build the brief from there. The studio also designs event florals for brand launches, intimate dinners, celebrations and corporate functions, with flowers used to set the atmosphere of a space. Event clients send an enquiry with their vision, date and venue, and receive a quote for the pieces needed.
