About Hijinx Hotel Mt Gravatt
Hijinx Hotel Mt Gravatt is a games venue on Level 2 of Westfield Mt Gravatt, dressed up as an eccentric 1920s New York hotel. Instead of a single escape room, it has ten short challenge rooms, from oversized puzzle cubes to UV basketball and a ball pit. Teams of two to six check in, get a briefing and head through a set of five rooms, or all ten. Each room has a time limit and a points target, and scores land on the venue scoreboard. Wear something easy to move in, as a few rooms get you on your feet. The hotel bar mixes cocktails and pours beer and wine. Its kitchen serves pizzas, tacos, burgers and share plates, enjoyed in the bar area before or after you play. For a celebration, party packages cover groups of eight or more. They pair a set of rooms with a party host, a reserved area and shared food, and the bigger packages add a drinks package. Private karaoke rooms can be added on. Hijinx takes hens and bucks groups, birthdays, kids' and teen parties, team building, work functions and Christmas parties. Holey Moley mini golf shares the venue, so a group can play both. Frequently asked questions
How many people can we bring?
Each challenge room fits a team of two to six, and up to 30 guests can be booked online in a single booking. Party packages are for groups of eight or more, and a full venue takeover can also be requested.
What does it cost at Mt Gravatt?
A set of five rooms is $23 per person early in the week and $26 from Thursday to Sunday, while all ten rooms are $30 or $46. Hosted party packages start at $52 per person with shared pizza and fries and a drink on arrival.
Are children allowed?
Yes. The rooms suit anyone aged five and over, with younger kids playing alongside an adult, and kids' and teen party packages are offered. Under-18s can stay until 9pm, after which the venue is adults only and ID is needed.
How long does a visit take?
A round of challenge rooms takes about 30 minutes, and guests should arrive 30 minutes ahead for the briefing, as late arrivals can't be squeezed in. Party packages run from 90 minutes to two and a half hours.
Can we eat and drink while we play?
Food and drinks stay in the bar area rather than the rooms. The bar serves cocktails, beer and wine, and the kitchen has pizzas, tacos, burgers and share plates for before or after your game.

This is a really cool concept, especially in a space where the average adult gaming venue tends to fall short. It offers something fresh and engaging that you don't often find elsewhere. I could easily see myself coming…

I organised a group of forty-four 21 year olds to stop at Hijinx as part of a celebration to remember my son, Liam, who passed 2 years ago. His gaming name was Jynxx so it all tied in perfectly. The team at Hijinx, parti…
