About Hijinx Hotel Chermside
Hijinx Hotel Chermside is a playful games venue on Level 2 of Westfield Chermside, styled like a quirky hotel. Guests check in at a reception desk, then work through themed challenge rooms built around tasks such as ball pits, light puzzles and giant word games. Each team of two to six is given a set of five rooms, or all ten, and has a short time limit inside each one to score points. Scores go up on a daily leaderboard, so friendly rivalry between teams is part of the fun. Clothes you can move in are a good idea, as some rooms get you jumping around. The lobby bar mixes house cocktails and pours beer, wine and soft drinks. The kitchen sends out burgers, pizzas, tacos, sliders and share plates, and food and drinks stay in the bar area rather than the rooms. For celebrations, packages bundle a set of rooms with a party host, a reserved area and shared food. Higher tiers add one or two hours of drinks, and extra room sets can be added on. The venue takes bookings for birthdays, hens and bucks groups, kids and teen parties, team building, work parties and Christmas functions. Private karaoke rooms are also on site. Party packages run from $52 per person for the Deluxe option to $108 for the Presidential, which includes two and a half hours, five finger food items and a two-hour drinks package. A 50% deposit secures a function booking.

How many people can play together?
Each challenge room takes a team of two to six, and up to 30 people can be booked online in one go. Bigger groups are split into teams that play side by side, and party packages need at least eight guests.
How much does it cost?
At Chermside a set of five rooms is $26 per person from Thursday to Sunday and $23 from Monday to Wednesday, with all ten rooms $46 or $30. Party packages start at $52 per person with food, a host and a drink on arrival.
Can kids play?
Yes. The rooms suit anyone over five, with younger children accompanied by an adult. Under-18s can stay until 9pm, after which everyone needs photo ID, and kids' and teen party packages are offered.
How long should we allow?
Each round of challenge rooms runs for about 30 minutes. Arrive 30 minutes before your booking for the briefing, as late arrivals can't be fitted in. Party packages run for one and a half to two and a half hours.
Can we eat and drink at the venue?
Yes, the bar serves cocktails, beer, wine and soft drinks alongside burgers, pizzas, tacos and share plates. Food and drinks are enjoyed in the bar area before or after the games, not inside the challenge rooms.
