About High Tea At Home
High Tea At Home is a small Redlands catering business run by Annette, who grew up with English-style afternoon teas served on her mother’s good china. She brings the whole high tea to your home, so you can relax with family and friends instead of baking and washing up. There are two catered packages. The Traditional High Tea gives each guest two sandwiches, two savouries, three sweet treats and a scone with house-made strawberry jam and whipped cream, while the Petite High Tea is lighter, with two sandwiches, one savoury and three sweets. Both come with the china and linen, champagne flutes, silk flowers on the table, Twinings teas and plunger coffee, plus set-up and pack-down. The menu is baked in-house. Sandwich fillings range from cucumber and egg to turkey, brie and cranberry, and savouries include sausage rolls (with a vegetarian version), tartlets and mini quiches. Sweets run from caramel slice to mini lemon cheesecakes and the signature hummingbird cake, and scones come plain, date or pumpkin. Guests choose from five tea set collections, from soft pinks to a blue set and a sunflower theme, and a food-only package delivered to your door is also offered. What is included in a High Tea At Home package?
Both catered packages cover the food, the china and matching linen, champagne flutes, silk flowers for the table, Twinings teas and plunger coffee, with the table set up beforehand and cleared away afterwards.
What is the difference between the Traditional and Petite high teas?
The Traditional High Tea has two sandwiches, two savouries, three sweet treats and a scone with jam and cream for each guest. The Petite version keeps the sandwiches and sweets but has one savoury and no scone.
How many guests do I need to book a high tea?
The Traditional High Tea package needs at least six guests and is priced per guest. Check the minimum for the Petite package when you enquire, as it is quoted separately.
Can I choose the tea set and the menu?
Yes. You pick one of five china and linen collections, such as the pink set or the blue set, then choose your sandwiches, savouries and sweets from the in-house menu.
Does High Tea At Home travel outside the Redlands?
Its home area is the Redlands. Bookings further away may attract a mileage charge, which is quoted on application, so give your address when you send an enquiry.
