About CharKOR BBQ
CharKOR BBQ – Lydia's CharKOR BBQ in full – is a gourmet food truck run by Chef Lydia, who set it up to serve authentic Korean BBQ with a modern fusion twist. The menu is built around rice bowls, loaded chips and nachos topped with marinated, charcoal-grilled meat, fresh salad and house-made sauces. The cooking is the point of difference. Every cut sits in a marinade based on a classic Korean recipe, then goes in a KOPA charcoal oven at around 350 degrees, a method that renders off much of the excess fat and gives the meat a juicy texture and smoky flavour. Ingredients are prepared fresh and the sauces are made in-house. The truck takes private and corporate catering bookings. It is fully self-sufficient – about 7.2 metres long, 2.2 metres deep and 3.2 metres high – so it needs a flat spot to park rather than a kitchen or power at your venue. It can serve up to 100 people an hour, and up to 600 serves over a single event, which suits a big staff day, an office lunch or a larger function. On regular weeks the truck runs Friday lunch stops in Eagle Farm, Eight Mile Plains and Slacks Creek, plus a monthly Friday dinner in Bahrs Scrub. Send an enquiry to book CharKOR BBQ for your event.
