About Brisbane Event Lighting
Brisbane Event Lighting is a lighting hire and installation business founded by Jesse Cross, operating for more than ten years from its own warehouse. Its inventory covers festoon strands, fairy lights, uplights, disco and stage lighting, flood lights, paper lanterns, candles and mirror balls, plus giant light-up letters and numbers for photo spots. There are two ways to book. DIY clients can reserve equipment online, then either collect it from the warehouse and return it afterwards, or have it delivered to their address. For larger jobs the team designs the lighting, delivers and installs it, then collects and packs it down after the event. A few items are only supplied with installation by the crew, for safety reasons. Weddings are a big part of the work, from reception venues to backyard celebrations at home, and birthdays get the same treatment with warm festoon canopies or colourful outdoor uplights. Schools book the team for fetes, musicals and festivals, and corporate functions, festivals and seasonal installations are also on the list. Beyond lighting, the hire range includes speakers and dual wireless microphone kits for speeches, low-lying fog and smoke machines, cold spark and confetti machines, a 6m red carpet and a 3m by 3m backdrop stand.
