About Queensland Hire
Queensland Hire is an event hire company with its public depot in Coopers Plains on Brisbane's southside. The business began in 1980 as Ed's Hire, a small balloon and party shop, and took on its current name in 2004. It now supplies everything from backyard parties and weddings to university graduations, exhibitions and festivals. Marquees are the core of the range. Options run from market-style springtops, pagodas and shade sails through to Hoecker P Series and F Series structures with 4 m to 25 m spans, with silk linings, custom gables and chandeliers to dress the inside. Around the marquee, the team can add chairs, tables, bars and counters, dance floors, staging, outdoor flooring, carpet tiles, festoon lights, light towers, generators, fencing, exhibition panels and catering equipment. Standard hire covers up to four days, which leaves room for set-up and pack-down, and longer hires can be arranged for large events. On bigger jobs the crew can prepare floor plans and site plans, handle safety documentation and talk to your venue about access and timing. Delivery and installation run seven days by arrangement, with a surcharge for weekends, public holidays and after-hours work, and approved items can be self-collected from Coopers Plains Monday to Friday. Does Queensland Hire install the marquees?
Yes. Marquee installation and dismantling can be included in the quote, and the team checks access, ground surface, anchoring and timing at your site before confirming the plan.
Can I hire tables and chairs without a marquee?
Yes. Furniture, flooring, lighting and other items can be hired on their own or combined with a structure, with availability and delivery confirmed in your quote.
How long is the standard hire period?
Standard hire runs for up to four days, giving time for set-up and pack-down. Longer hires for large events can be arranged at reduced rates.
Can I collect the equipment myself?
Approved items can be self-collected from the Coopers Plains depot Monday to Friday. Marquees and larger items are delivered and installed by the crew.
Is weekend delivery available?
Yes. Delivery and installation are offered seven days, though work outside normal hours, on weekends or on public holidays attracts a small surcharge.
