About Audio Visual Information Technology (AVIT)
Audio Visual Information Technology, known as AVIT, is an audio visual hire and production company based in Albion in Brisbane's inner north. It looks after the sound, vision and lighting for conferences, exhibitions, presentations and corporate functions. On the audio side, AVIT hires passive and powered PA speakers from 8-inch tops to 18-inch subs, Yamaha powered and digital mixers, Shure and Sennheiser wired and wireless microphones, and battery-powered portable PA units for spots without power. Push-to-talk conference microphone systems handle panels and boardroom-style sessions. Vision and lighting hire covers LED and LCD screens, projectors and projection screens, profile spots and Fresnels for the stage, moving-head and LED lighting, lighting desks, trussing, staging and drapes. The team also runs live streaming, broadcast and video production. Bookings can be fully crewed, with technicians delivering, setting up and operating everything, or dry hired with a quick run-through of the gear. Hire runs from a single day up to multi-week trade shows, with on-call or on-site support for longer jobs, and AVIT carries public liability cover for its equipment and staff. Frequently asked questions
Does AVIT supply technicians or can we run the gear ourselves?
Both. Specialist technicians can set up and operate your event, or you can dry hire the equipment and get a quick explanation of how it works when you collect it or it is delivered.
Is delivery included in the hire price?
Usually not, but delivery and pick-up can be bundled into the quote depending on the location, the amount of equipment and the drop-off and pack-down times.
What is the minimum hire period?
The minimum hire is one day, and bookings run all the way up to multi-week trade shows and exhibitions, with on-call or on-site support for long hires.
What sound equipment is available?
Passive and powered PA speakers from 8 to 15 inches with 15 and 18-inch subs, Yamaha powered and digital mixers, Shure wired microphones, Sennheiser and Shure wireless systems and battery-powered portable PA units.
Who is responsible for hired gear while it is at our event?
AVIT holds public liability cover for its equipment and staff on site, but the hirer is responsible for loss, theft or damage while equipment is in their care and should arrange insurance.
