Yering Station is a winery on the Melba Highway at Yering, and its vineyard dates back to 1838. Its birthday options range from a private dining room for a small group to taking over the whole restaurant.

Guests arrive along an avenue of old elms, passing the cellar door and the Historic Barn on the way to the restaurant.

Three sizes of birthday at Yering Station:

• Close family – the Devaux Room inside the restaurant is private dining for 8 to 20.
• A long lunch – the heritage-listed Historic Barn takes 30 to 60 exclusively, with its own barbecue grill package.
• The big one – an evening party can take the stone and glass restaurant outright, with room for 300 on their feet or 150 at tables.
• Pricing – group lunches start from $85 per person on a two- or three-course chef's selection menu.
• Wine – dinners pair a shared feast or plated menu with a four or five-hour drinks package of estate wines.
