School Formal Venues in Maddens Plains

Choosing the Right School Formal Venue

Fitting a whole Year 12 cohort into one room, with a proper dance floor and a setting that feels like an occasion, is the first job for any formal committee. Panorama House, the escarpment-top function centre at 811 Princes Highway in Maddens Plains, runs its own school formal packages separate from its weddings and group celebrations.

Five things a formal committee will want to know:

The Full Room opens up for 200 adults and beyond, enough for a large year group with teachers
Smaller cohorts can use the Ocean View Room, for about 100 to 180
The formal set-up adds a polished parquetry dance floor and room lighting
An overhead projector with screens suits a year-in-review slideshow
A cordless microphone covers awards, thank-yous and farewells

Among the extras is a return coach service from the Wollongong CBD, which can simplify arrivals and pick-ups for a big group of students.

Arrival: guests come up to Bulli Tops, the local name for this part of the escarpment
Dinner: tables are dressed with linen, glassware and Tiffany chairs
Dancing: the parquetry floor and lighting come with the formal packages
Coordination: the function team looks after the night from first enquiry onwards
