Go Karts in Wilberforce

At 446 Wilberforce Road, on the Butterfly Farm property, Indy 800 Kart Track hires out karts on a circuit that also hosts a club sprint series. Sessions last 10 minutes and each driver can book up to three, so a group decides how much time on track everyone gets.

Planning a session at the Wilberforce track:

• Group size: bookings open to groups from five drivers, and the deposit rises for groups of ten or more.
• The karts: single OTK Vipers for drivers 13 and over, plus two Sodi 2Drive dual karts.
• Young passengers: children as young as four can ride in a dual kart with an adult at the wheel.
• Timing: the usual finish is 5pm, and big or corporate groups can ask about later sessions.
• Cost: from $35 per person.

The track is 800 metres long and eight metres wide, and its straights, S-bends, hairpin and sweeping corners give drivers chances to overtake.
