Gin and whisky are the focus on Mentmore Avenue, where Archie Rose Distilling Co. runs a bar, cellar door and hands-on spirits programme inside its distillery in Rosebery, the inner-south suburb below Alexandria and Zetland. Sessions take place in the Still Room, part of the original distillery, so the equipment that makes the spirits is right beside the tasting table. Ways to taste and blend at the distillery:
