Wedding Reception Venues in Leichhardt

Marble floors, chandeliers and a sandstone facade give Albert Palais a real sense of occasion for a reception. The Catherine Street building has hosted events since the 1930s, and as an events-only venue booked by one client at a time, a wedding has the whole place.

From arrival to the last dance:

• Guests arrive: into the marble foyer and bar on the 437-square-metre ground floor
• The reception dinner: roughly 200 to 300 seated in the 760-square-metre ballroom
• Speeches: from the stage, with microphones supplied by the venue
• The first dance: on the ballroom dance floor, backed by the full sound set-up
• A breather for the bridal party: the first-floor Privée room overlooking the ballroom

Wedding packages combine venue hire, two courses and a four-hour drinks package from $155 per person, quoted excluding GST. Catering comes through partner caterers, with modern Australian and North Indian options.
