Choosing the Right School Formal Venue

A formal at Bramleigh Estate gives the year group the run of an entire property: the Warrandyte estate books one event per date, and its reception hall on Ringwood-Warrandyte Road is ringed by ten acres of bushland and lawn.

Points a formal committee will want settled:

Year-group size – seating for 100 to 350 students and staff
Dinner – plated entrées, mains and desserts from the in-house kitchen
Dancing – a large floor in the main hall
Arrivals – through a foyer built around a stone fireplace
Access – step-free via a ramp, with accessible parking bays and an accessible bathroom

Staff running the night can request AV equipment for speeches or a look back at the school year before the dancing starts.

Students arrive to canapés and grazing tables
Seated dinner follows in the white hall under its cathedral ceiling
The glass walls keep the bushland and Warrandyte Reserve in view as the light fades
The timber deck has room for another 100 seated outside

Planning notes for schools

With one booking a date, no other group is on the grounds
Every dietary requirement is catered for by the kitchen
A venue-hire option admits approved outside caterers for cultural menus
A sound system and microphone are part of the hall's facilities
