Escape Room Options Across Richmond

Earthrise One is a small, independently run escape studio upstairs on Church Street in Richmond, with two science fiction games written in-house.

Instead of padlocks and number codes, the puzzles follow the logic of the story, and a live game master shapes the hints and characters as you play.

The two Richmond games side by side:

Earthrise One: a 60-minute mission to repair a failing space station and work out what became of its crew.
Star Crew: a 75-minute voyage where each player runs a station on the bridge and choices lead to different endings.
Crew size: two to six per game, with five suggested as the sweet spot for the space station.
Mood: mild horror touches and fog, flashing lights and loud effects, so it suits players who enjoy atmosphere.
Pricing: not published, so ask the studio for a quote for your group size and date.

A party bigger than six can split into two crews across the two games, so check with the studio whether both can be booked for the same time.

Story lovers: the games play more like an interactive film than a padlock hunt.
Mixed experience levels: the game master adjusts difficulty for first-timers playing alongside regulars.
Teams that like roles: Star Crew gives every player a job, such as pilot, engineering or tactical.
Small celebrations: a birthday or team outing that fits into one or two crews of up to six.

Plan on about 80 minutes for a visit, including the briefing and photos afterwards.
The entrance is up a flight of stairs and there is no wheelchair access.
Players under 15 need an adult playing with them.
One part of the space station game involves crawling through a short passage.

Earthrise One on Church Street runs two sci-fi games: the space station mystery that shares its name and the starship adventure Star Crew.

Each game takes a crew of two to six players. A larger group can split across the two games, so check availability for both when you book.

It is more tense than frightening. The space station game has mild horror touches, and both rooms use fog, flashing lights and loud sound effects.

Yes, but anyone under 15 needs an adult playing alongside them.
