Choosing the Right Wedding Reception Venue

In Coolaroo, a wedding reception can fill the Coolaroo Hotel's Barry Maffra Room, a Maffra Street function room fitted with its own bar, stage and dancing space. Seated, it takes 200 guests at banquet tables.

For a smaller wedding the room can be split in half, with the Barry side seating 70.

From the arrival to the last dance:

  • Welcome drinks – guests are served from the room's own private bar.
  • The reception dinner – two set menus alternate down the tables, from $40 per person, for at least 30 guests.
  • Speeches – the stage and microphone are set up in the room.
  • A photo slideshow – the projector can play it through the evening.
  • The first dance – the dance floor is built in, and the room is DJ friendly.

The pub also has seven guest rooms, plus free on-site parking. Send an enquiry to check your wedding date.
