Everything to Know About Paint & Sip

Small groups who swear they can't paint are exactly who Bayside Paint and Sip has in mind. The studio is in the Seaview Village shops at 4/350 Balcombe Road, Beaumaris, run by artist and former dance teacher Maryse.

Private bookings are for 8 to 14 guests, so a hens party, birthday or team night has the studio to itself.

How a private session comes together:

  • Choose the painting: one from the studio's gallery, from tropical sunsets and koi to Picasso-style faces and peacocks.
  • Choose the time: weeknights as well as weekends, arranged by email.
  • Bring the drinks: wine, bubbles and nibbles are all BYO.
  • Settle in: arrive 10 to 15 minutes early; sessions run for about two hours.
  • Cost: from $59 per person.

Beginners are walked through the artwork step by step, and confident painters are free to mix their own palette and go their own way.
