School Formal Venues in Ettalong Beach

Choosing the Right School Formal Venue

A formal in Ettalong Beach means a night at Ettalong Diggers, the waterfront RSL on The Esplanade and a local club since 1950. Students dine with Broken Bay in view, in a ballroom sized for a full year group.

Formal-night details at the Ettalong club:

Ballrooms: the Seaview seats 200 and the Broken Bay seats 330, or 400 and 500 standing.
Dinner: two or three courses served alternately, from $58 per person.
Dancing: hire the stage and dance floor, plus a microphone for the captains' speeches.
Soft drinks: a non-alcoholic package runs on a timed basis like the others.
Diets: every menu flags dietary needs.

The functions coordinator plans the room setup, timing and menu with the committee once an enquiry comes in.

A cohort of 150 to 200 seated suits the Seaview Ballroom.
Larger schools needing 330 seats suit the Broken Bay Ballroom.
Smaller year groups can look at the Patonga or Pearl Beach rooms, which hold 150 to 200 standing.
The terrace Pretty Beach Room suits a pre-formal gathering for up to 80 standing.
