What to Know Before Booking Christmas Party Venues

The Gailes clubhouse hosts end-of-year drinks and business dinners in The Coogan Room. For a western suburbs team, it is a calmer alternative to a crowded pub in December.

The Coogan Room for a work Christmas:

Team size: up to 150, at tables or standing.
Speeches: a lectern with mic and PA, plus presentation gear.
Food: platters, buffets or bar snacks, or a menu designed for you.
Bar: fully licensed, with tabs available.
Cost: hire starts at $250 room hire for a short daytime booking.

Holding it at lunchtime avoids the security guard needed after dark.

Pick a short daytime slot of up to four hours or stretch it to six.
A night function is capped at four and a half hours, and the room shuts at 11pm.
The hire fee also serves as the deposit.
The club's function coordinator walks you through the plan.

Why a clubhouse suits a Wacol team

Air conditioning keeps the room comfortable in December heat.
A dance floor lets the night move on from dinner.
Parkland fairways around the clubhouse keep things quiet.
No outside catering, so one kitchen handles everything.
