About Aspley Hotel
Aspley Hotel is a long-standing pub on Gympie Road in Aspley, on Brisbane's northside, dating back to 1935. Alongside the bistro and sports bar it has a gaming lounge, a drive-through bottle shop and plenty of parking on site. Group functions are held in a dedicated area of the hotel. The main part is the Herb Garden, a green outdoor setting that seats 80 or holds 100 people standing. The Terrace is an indoor, sunlit room that seats 40, and it can be combined with the back of the Herb Garden for 60 seated guests. Functions in the Herb Garden wrap up by 10pm because of noise limits. Catering is built around shared platters, each feeding roughly eight to ten people. Choices include pub classics, vegetarian, premium, pizza, sliders, cheese, gluten-free and dessert, priced from $100 to $145 a platter, and the chef asks to hear about dietary needs when you book. A bar tab can be arranged ahead of time or opened on the night, with a credit card held against it, and the bar closes at midnight. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, but birthday and wedding cakes and lolly buffets are fine. Room hire is free once the minimum spend is reached: $1,000 on food and drinks from Monday to Thursday and $2,000 from Friday to Sunday. If the spend falls short, a $250 room hire fee applies, and a $100 deposit holds the date.
