Birthday Party Venues in Point Lookout

Choosing the Right Birthday Party Venue

Point Lookout Bowls Club, the island's Bowlsie, has hosted local celebrations on Dickson Way for more than 50 years. For a birthday, its Banksia Room gives the party a room of its own, with a separate entrance and plenty of natural light.

What a Straddie birthday at the club can include:

Table seating for up to 120 guests, enough for family, friends and neighbours.
Room to dance after the speeches, with the club's sound system ready to go.
A big-screen TV with HDMI and USB inputs, handy for showing old photos of the guest of honour.
Catering from The Curlew Kitchen, whose everyday menu runs from club classics to local seafood.
A round of barefoot bowls on the greens, booked as part of the party.

Visitors are welcome alongside members, so guests holidaying on the island can join in.

Function packages are tailored to each group, with the food coming from the club kitchen.
Drinks can be poured from a private bar in the Banksia Room or from the club's main bar.
Beverage packages can be arranged for the party.
Prices aren't published online; the club quotes once it has your date and numbers.

Why the club works for a milestone

The relaxed island feel suits a casual milestone more than a formal dinner.
The room's separate entrance keeps the celebration apart from the club's everyday trade.
Free WiFi makes it easy to play a music list or a video message from someone far away.
The club says birthdays are among the functions it hosts most often.
