Hawthorne Birthday Party Venues, Compared

Choosing the Right Birthday Party Venue

Above Hawthorne Road, Merci Event Space is a light-filled upstairs room that suits a birthday where the styling matters as much as the menu. Each booking gets the whole building, so the party never shares a room with the public.

What sets a Merci Event Space birthday apart:

  • Hamptons and plantation-style details: white shutters, timber floors, rattan pendants and soft neutral furnishings.
  • Room for up to 60 guests, set as long styled tables or left open for mingling.
  • A dedicated, fully licensed bar and a balcony looking over Hawthorne Road.
  • Hot and cold canapé packages from the kitchen, tailored to the event.
  • Add-ons such as florals, balloons, photography set-ups and a luxury mirror photo booth.

The neutral base can be styled by your own approved stylist or the venue's preferred one.

Hawthorne birthdays that suit a smaller crowd

  • A 30th or 40th with close friends fits the 60-guest limit without the room feeling empty.
  • Showers and birthdays are what the space was set up for, alongside small weddings.
  • The balcony gives guests somewhere to step out during speeches.
  • Private viewings can be arranged before booking to see how the room styles up.
