About Chandni Events
Chandni Events is a Brisbane decorating and styling company led by founder and director Aivan Chand. He trained in interior decoration and design and worked with international fashion houses before turning to weddings and events. The team designs the look, sources the pieces and installs everything at your chosen venue or at home. Indian weddings are the core of the business, with a range of mandap designs from traditional palace-inspired builds to contemporary crystal looks. Every mandap and accessory is matched to the wedding colours. Receptions get feature stages built from hand-embroidered backdrops, coloured draping, royal thrones, chaise longues, fairy-light walls, pedestals and flowers. The same approach carries through nikkah, walima, mehndi and haldi celebrations, and Western and fusion weddings are styled too. On the tables, the team supplies coloured sashes, tablecloths, runners and full overlays, and fits and removes chair covers at no extra charge. Centrepieces range from a 90cm five-arm crystal candelabra with lights, which can carry a designer rose ball, to custom arrangements with fresh flowers and candles. Extras include welcome settings, a red aisle carpet, a bridal doli or palki, luxury birthday decor and Bollywood-themed corporate decor. Planning starts with a showroom consultation, held by appointment from Monday to Thursday, where you can see the backdrops, linen and accessories in person. Yes. Alongside weddings and receptions, the team offers luxury birthday party decor and Bollywood-themed decor for corporate events, and can style a venue or your home.
How does the planning process work?
It begins with a consultation at the showroom, open by appointment Monday to Thursday, where you see the backdrops, linen and accessories in person and go through each part of the design.
