About Beautiful Illusions
Beautiful Illusions is a family-run wedding and event styling business in Capalaba, started by two sisters-in-law who began by decorating weddings from home and grew into a showroom and warehouse in the Redlands. The team works on everything from small private gatherings to large ballroom functions, and offers both full-service styling and do-it-yourself hire. For weddings, the stylists dress ceremonies in churches, gardens and on the beach, then carry the look through to the reception. Their range covers backdrops, candelabras, lanterns, vases, candles, fairy lights, chair covers and sashes, table linen, charger plates, glassware, table numbers, wishing wells, candy buffets, letter lights and furniture. Ceremony and reception packages are available, and couples are encouraged to start with a colour and theme and build from there. Corporate clients use the team for gala dinners, presentation dinners, product launches, charity events, fundraisers, cocktail evenings, Christmas functions and school formals. The stylists also partner with event planners, function managers and venues, installing linen and décor in the room so the venue's own staff don't have to. Every booking starts with a free, no-obligation consultation of about an hour, ideally with your venue information and some inspiration pictures in hand. Does Beautiful Illusions charge for the first consultation?
No. The first meeting is a free, no-obligation consultation of around an hour. Bring your venue package details and any colours, themes or pictures you like so the stylists can shape ideas around them.
Can I see the décor before I book?
Yes. Beautiful Illusions has a showroom in Capalaba with a range of pieces on display. Visits are by appointment, so send an enquiry first to arrange a time.
Can we hire décor and set it up ourselves?
Yes. Alongside full-service styling there is a DIY hire option from the team's own collection. Most items are hired for three nights, and the stylists give guidance on how to set them up if needed.
Is there a bond on DIY hire?
No cash bond is taken. Instead, DIY hirers complete a security hire form with a credit card and proof of identity, and are responsible for replacement costs if an item is damaged.
Do they style corporate functions as well as weddings?
Yes. The team themes gala dinners, presentation nights, product launches, fundraisers, cocktail evenings, Christmas functions and school formals, and works with planners and venues by installing linen and décor in the room.
