Choosing the Right Wedding Reception Venue

A small Crestmead wedding reception can take over Kensington Tavern's function room. With its own bar and toilets, the room keeps the wedding party separate from the public side of the pub.

What a reception here can include:

  • Seating for up to 60, or 80 for a cocktail-style celebration.
  • Plated meals served alternate drop, with two courses from $50 per person and a three-course step up.
  • Chair covers, coloured runners and balloons supplied by the team.
  • Space for your own wedding cake, which the venue welcomes.
  • A projector and screen for speeches or photo slides.

Room hire is set by the day of the week, and the deposit covers that fee, so a weekday reception keeps costs down.

Planning a reception with Kensington Tavern

  • The team lays out tables to suit, from banquet rows to an open floor.
  • Buffet menus suit receptions of 30 guests or more.
  • Security is required once guest numbers reach 50.
  • The room is air-conditioned, with in-house music and speakers for your playlist.

Couples the Crestmead room suits

  • Couples planning a relaxed local reception rather than a large formal wedding.
  • Families who want a private room within a familiar pub.
  • Smaller guest lists that would feel lost in a bigger hall.
  • Groups wanting set menus without bringing in outside caterers.
