Lawn Bowls: What to Look For

Bardon Bowls Club on Bowman Parade books barefoot bowls by the lane, in two-hour blocks from Thursday to Sunday. It is a casual community club, with food trucks, craft beer at club prices and a clubhouse for bigger functions.

How a Bardon bowls booking works:

Bowling is from $12 per person for two hours, and a lane takes up to six players.
The club supplies all the bowls and gear.
Children under 12 bowl free with their parents, under adult supervision.
Tables are booked separately from the lanes.
Hosts need a social membership, valid for two years.

Food trucks rotate through each week, and Gerbino's catering boxes can be added for a party.

Up to 20 adults get two picnic tables with gazebos at no extra charge.
Larger adult groups prepay a bar tab per table.
Kids' birthdays have their own green and set time slots, with the fee turned into a bar tab.
The outdoor area is licensed until 8pm, then everyone moves inside.

The clubhouse function room

It takes 150 or more guests.
