Choosing the Right School Formal Venue

Whether the year group is 60 or 400, Nova on the Grange can size a formal to it. The Raby Road function house in Kearns names school formals among the events its Italian kitchen caters for, and its five private rooms can be booked singly or opened up together.

Sizing the formal to the cohort:

Up to 130 students: the Ravenna Room, where the dance floor is, with AV and bar access.
Around 140: the Amalfi Room opened into the Roma.
A full year group: the whole building seats 300.
Two schools together: 450 across all five rooms combined.
Committee or parent gatherings: the Milano Room, for up to 30.

Arrivals can gather on the wraparound verandahs or by the garden gazebo for photos before dinner and dancing inside.

The starting point is pizza and pasta, from $48 per person.
Three set menus suit a more traditional sit-down dinner.
A tapas menu keeps students moving around the room.
Extra platters can be ordered on top.
