About Sugar Beach Ranch
Sugar Beach Ranch is a family-run property of about 60 acres at the end of Keith Hall Lane in South Ballina. Cane fields lead to the gate, and the land runs through native bushland and horse paddocks to a long, quiet beach. The ranch is home to a working herd of horses and is a private property, so every visitor comes by booking or appointment. Alongside retreats and short stays, it takes bookings for weddings, elopements, corporate events, team days and photo or film shoots. Ceremonies can be held on the beach, among the sand dunes, beneath native trees, beside the pool or out in a horse paddock. Receptions need a marquee, which goes on a large level lawn that opens onto the pool area, and smaller weddings can be styled on the covered deck around the pool. NSW rules cap events on the property at 50 guests. The grounds include a 15-metre heated stone-tiled pool with a cabana, a stable block, white-fenced paddocks and walking tracks through coastal bush. The ranch team coordinates events and works with regional partners for catering, marquees, flowers, mobile bars, styling, photography and hair and make-up. Add-ons such as cocktails, a sit-down meal, a photographer, flowers and a dove release can be requested when you enquire. Corporate groups can book team wellbeing programs built around the horses, as well as launches and networking events. Event guests can camp on the grounds afterwards, and a booking is confirmed once the deposit is paid.

Yes. Extra camping can be set up on the grounds for event bookings. The ranch also has two holiday bungalows that sleep up to four people in total.
