Choosing the Right School Formal Venue

For western Brisbane schools, the listed formal venue is Hillstone St Lucia on Carawa Street. Its main hall fits a full year level with room to dance.

Hillstone St Lucia's formal strengths:

Seating for 420 in the Grandview Room, or 800 standing.
A stage and twin projectors for the year-level presentations.
A dance floor for after dinner.
Golf course views and a heritage-listed homestead for photos.
Packages from $42 per person, with plated dinners prepared on site.

For a smaller school, the Rosewood Room seats 90 with a private veranda. The team can hold a date for seven days while a school confirms.

Lock in numbers early so the right room is held.
Use the projectors for a year-in-review video.
Plan arrival photos on the Mango Tree Terrace.
Ask the venue about menus for dietary needs.

Why a heritage homestead works for a formal

The Victorian-era house gives formal photos an old-world look.
Fairways around the building keep the setting green and open.
The Rosewood Room's veranda gives a quieter corner for teachers.
Kitchen staff on site handle the full sit-down meal.
