About Lucas Kraus Photography
Lucas Kraus Photography is a Brisbane wedding photography business run by Lucas Kraus, who has been photographing weddings for over 12 years and has covered more than 800 of them. He takes no more than 40 bookings a year and never books two weddings on the same date, so each couple has his full attention on the day. His approach is mostly photojournalistic – he stays in the background while the day unfolds and gives direction only when it is needed, such as family groups, bridal portraits and bridal party photos. Posing is kept simple and matched to each couple, with no awkward dips or jumps, and editing stays natural: straight horizons, no sepia tones and no selective colouring. Basic, the first of four set packages, gives 2.5 hours of coverage, a phone consultation and 200 to 300 edited images in an online gallery. Bronze adds a pre-wedding consultation, five hours, 300 to 450 images and a 6x8 photobook; Silver runs for eight hours with more than 450 images and an 8x11 photobook; and Deluxe sits at the top of the range. Extra hours, more photographers, bigger photobooks and parent albums can be added. Planning help is part of the service: a phone call a week before the wedding sets an agreed photography timeline with breathing space between each part of the day. Real weddings range from Newstead Park to the city's botanic gardens, and every edited image comes in high resolution so you can print it yourself. Send an enquiry to check your date.

How much does Lucas Kraus Photography cost?
Packages start at $990 for 2.5 hours of coverage. Bronze is $1,750 for five hours, Silver is $2,490 for eight hours and the Deluxe package is $2,990, with custom packages built if you need more.
How many photos will we receive?
It depends on the package: 200 to 300 edited images with Basic, 300 to 450 with Bronze and more than 450 with Silver, all supplied in high resolution through an online gallery so you can print your own.
How long until we get our wedding photos?
Edited high-resolution images are delivered through an online portal within four weeks of the wedding, which is usually around the time couples are home from the honeymoon.
How do we secure our wedding date?
A 20 per cent deposit locks in the date. The balance is due on the wedding day, though many couples settle it a couple of weeks earlier, and paying in instalments is also an option.
Can we meet Lucas before booking?
Yes. Lucas usually meets couples at a local café or at his home studio to talk through the day, and if a meeting is not practical the details can be covered over the phone first.
