Hens Party Venues in Morningside

How to Choose the Right Hens Party Venue

In Morningside, The Colmslie Hotel gives the bride's crew a choice of private rooms, a garden and a games-heavy sports bar under one roof. Guests can even book a room upstairs so nobody has to head home early.

Ways to shape a hens day or night at The Colmslie:

A soundproof private dining room keeps speeches, games and gifts away from the main bar.
The leafy Beer Garden takes up to 150 for a relaxed afternoon of drinks and platters.
Pool tables and dartboards in the Sports Bar give a competitive group something to do.
Canapé packages from $35 per person keep food flowing without a formal sit-down.
The hotel's 49 rooms make it easy to turn the night into a stay.

A dedicated event manager looks after each booking, which helps when the maid of honour is juggling the rest of the plans.

Platter choices include sushi, sliders, seafood and a charcuterie board for grazing between games.
A plated two or three course menu suits a hens dinner with a more formal feel.
Drinks can be a timed package, a bar tab set by the organiser, or a cash bar.
Menus and final numbers are due two weeks out, with payment a week before.

Choosing a room for the size of the group

A small hens group can take one private dining room; the two join up for up to 90 standing.
The Tab Room, with a pool table and private bar, holds 20 to 50 after 6pm.
The Brosnan Room seats 90 with AV, handy for a photo slideshow of the bride.
Very large combined hens and bucks parties can move upstairs to the Gateway Rooms.
