Bring your Christmas party to Verandah on Racecourse, a Hamilton restaurant with two private rooms and space for 120 guests.

What to Know Before Booking Christmas Party Venues

Verandah on Racecourse is the Hamilton venue for a work Christmas party, a Racecourse Road restaurant pairing Vietnamese street flavours with contemporary Australian cooking. Festive banquets, long lunches and standing cocktail events are all part of its function repertoire.

How the restaurant scales for an end-of-year team event:

A small team can take the Cellar Room, seating 22 at a banquet next to a wall of aged wine, or 40 standing.
The candlelit Private Dining Room seats 20 at the table or holds 40 for drinks and canapés.
A whole-company party can hire the entire restaurant, kitchen and bar, for 80 seated or 120 standing.
The venue runs its own bar, so drinks sit alongside the meal without bringing in an outside supplier.
Christmas packages are sent on request rather than published, so enquire with your date and head count.

Lunch and dinner are both served, which lets a team choose a long afternoon lunch or an evening banquet.
The functions team helps pick the menu and can suggest entertainment for the night.
Fairy lights and floral drapery feature in the restaurant's celebration set-ups for an exclusive booking.
Function packages cover Christmas, corporate and birthday events, so ask for the festive version specifically.

Choosing between the two private rooms

The Cellar Room suits a team that wants a wine-focused setting and a slightly larger seated table.
The Private Dining Room has a softer, candlelit feel for a more intimate end-of-year dinner.
Both rooms take 40 standing, so a drinks-and-canapés format works in either.
Teams that outgrow 40 standing move up to exclusive hire of the whole venue.
