About Breathe Pole Dance Academy
Breathe Pole Dance Academy is a pole fitness studio on Anzac Avenue in Hillcrest, teaching beginner courses, trick, flexibility and choreography classes through the year. Alongside its regular timetable, the studio hosts private parties for groups who want to try something a bit different together. The room is fitted with brass poles in two widths, under fairy lights and coloured stage lighting. A party booking gives your group sole use of the studio and an instructor of your own. Hens groups, birthday crews and workmates heading out for a Christmas or end-of-year celebration all book in, and corporate groups use pole fitness, pole dancing or twerking as a team icebreaker. You do not need a theme or a special occasion to organise one, and the session can lean towards fitness, dance or pure fun. No prior dance, gymnastics or strength is required, as moves are taught in small steps that suit first-timers. Wear shorts and a singlet or crop top so your skin can grip the pole, and skip moisturiser on the day. Party packages start from $195 per group, so send an enquiry with your date, numbers and the kind of session you have in mind.

Frequently asked questions
What does a private party at the studio include?
Party packages give your group exclusive use of the Hillcrest studio and a personal instructor who runs the session. Packages start from $195 per group, and the details are tailored once you share your plans.
Do we need any dance experience or strength?
No. The studio caters to complete beginners, and instructors break each move into easy stages. Strength builds over time, so first-timers start with simple spins, sits and climbs.
What should guests wear to a pole party?
Comfortable, close-fitting clothes work well. Shorts help your legs grip the pole and a singlet or sports bra keeps your arms in contact, so avoid lotions or oils on the day as they make the pole slippery.
Can men take part in a group or corporate session?
Yes. Pole fitness at Breathe is open to everyone regardless of gender, and many classes are mixed, which suits work groups looking for a team-building activity or icebreaker.
Which occasions can we book a party for?
The studio hosts hens parties, birthday parties, Christmas parties including Christmas in July, and corporate team events. A group can also book a party with no occasion or theme at all.
