About Petite Crumb
Petite Crumb is the cake business of Jen Lippiatt, a qualified pastry chef who worked through cafes, restaurants and a wholesale kitchen before opening in 2015. She bakes from a commercial kitchen on her property in Oxley, and every cake is made from scratch with ingredients such as Lindt chocolate, Dutch cocoa and vanilla bean paste. The style is buttercream only: painted buttercream flowers, ombré finishes, gold leaf, fresh blooms and fruit, and retro piping on heart-shaped cakes. Fondant and novelty cakes are not offered. Wedding cakes run from two to four tiers, and celebration cakes come as hearts or single tiers in several sizes, each listed with dessert and canapé portions so you can match the cake to your guest numbers. Cupcakes in mini or standard size, embossed sugar cookies (with custom logo printing), macarons and meringues can be ordered alongside a cake. A range of gluten-free flavours is available, and vegan and dairy-free options are offered as cupcakes. Cake samples can be arranged if you are torn between flavours. Cakes are delivered in a refrigerated van to venues across Brisbane and greater Brisbane, and every cake comes with a cutting guide. There is no shopfront, so details are worked out by enquiry, phone or video call, and a deposit holds your date. Wedding season books up well ahead, so send an enquiry as soon as your date is set.

What is the smallest cake Petite Crumb makes?
The smallest options are a 6-inch heart (about 10 dessert portions) and a 5-inch round single tier. The FAQ suggests allowing at least $150 for the smallest cake.
Does Petite Crumb make fondant or novelty cakes?
No. Every cake is finished in buttercream, with decoration such as painted florals, gold leaf, fresh flowers or fruit. Fondant and novelty designs are not offered.
Is delivery available to our venue?
Yes. Cakes go out in a refrigerated van to Brisbane and greater Brisbane venues, with delivery priced from $50 plus GST depending on location.
Are there gluten-free or vegan options?
There is a range of gluten-free cake flavours. Vegan and dairy-free are available in cupcake form only, and as the kitchen handles allergens, traces cannot be fully ruled out.
What is the difference between dessert and canapé portions?
Dessert portions are larger plated slices for when the cake is served as dessert. Canapé portions are smaller pieces for stand-up events or where other sweets are on offer.
